"When I think of PINC, I think of growth and empowerment along with the idea of opportunity. The captivating opportunity to learn about myself in an uncharted environment, both on a personal and professional level." - Xochilt

• Which groups/sorority/organization are you currently affiliated with?
I am a proud alum of the Theta Gamma chapter of Phi Mu, where I had the pleasure of serving as sisterhood chair, which appointed me as the “go-to shoulder to lean on” and in charge of planning outings for the sisters. I also had the opportunity to be a member of our campus Alternative Breaks program, where I had the unforgettable experience of volunteering at an at-risk youth middle school in Atlanta, along with nine other FIU students. We also had the chance to wrap some Christmas presents at a local youth shelter! It was definitely one for the books.

• Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
10 years from now, I hope to be working in a field where I am able to help others. Although, if you were to ask me to give you specifics, I think we’d be here for a while. It’s all in the works!

• What are some of your bucket list items/places?
Well at the top of my list was skydiving, but I scratched that out this past summer. Now I’m trying to build up the courage to bungee jump. Also, I hope to get the chance to do a road trip across the U.S. or at least the west coast, either or would do.

• What is one of your proudest accomplishments to date?
One of my proudest accomplishments to date is graduating with my bachelor’s. I always dreamt of it, but when it finally happened and I walked across that stage, I felt like I could do anything I set my mind on. It was a pretty good feeling!

• If you could sit and have coffee with one celebrity dead or alive who would it be?
I’d like to sit down and chat with Audrey Hepburn. I think she was a very interesting person, on and off set. I mean, her movie roles were completely different from how she was in real life. If I could award her a trophy it would be something like “best all around”, she was a model, an actress, a fashion icon, but importantly a humanitarian. She never forgot to give back and that’s one of the things I admire the most about her.
