Meet Heidy - Immersion 2017

Heidy Rosario

Palm Beach State College

International Marketing

I’m so excited to travel to a new Spanish speaking country that isn’t my family’s homeland! My gringa Spanish needs help and I can’t wait to do it with other eager-to-learn ladies, instead of a classroom on campus.- Heidy

Which groups/sorority/organization are you currently affiliated with?

I’m part of Phi Theta Kappa (Honors Society) and the Honors College on campus. Outside of school I’m an events volunteer at Mounts Botanical Garden and I’m also a social media volunteer at Christfellowship Church and Braman Porsche. I'm mostly excited to be apart of PINC's Academy and an ambassador for the Intern Queen.

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

I don’t know exactly where I’ll be just because I’ve planned for the upcoming year before and always end up somewhere completely different. However, I hope to have finished my BA in Business Administration at my dream school Hult International Business School and a Master’s in International Marketing. My ultimate dream job is to be working for Google and I hope by then my dreams have become a reality, if not my utmost priority is to be happy with whatever I’m doing.

What are some of your bucket list items/places?

I want to go skydiving and visit New Zealand. Also, the thought of swimming with sharks scares me but it’s something I’ve had on the list for a while.

What is one of your proudest accomplishments to date?

I wasn’t the best student in high school but when it came to DECA (International Business Club) I gave it my all. I won third place in the state of Connecticut and top 20% internationally. I’ll never forget the feeling because it was one of my proudest moments. I also was accepted into the Honors College which brought so much joy and confidence. My next accomplishment I hope is to get into my dream school after graduating with my Associates in Arts degree.

If you could sit and have coffee with one celebrity dead or alive who would it be?

I would invite Zooey Deschanel to have coffee with me (I’d order hot chocolate) just because I absolutely love her acting and she seems like someone I’d want to hang out with. Her character Jessica in New Girl reminds me so much of myself and I find myself slowly picking up on the weird things she does and says on the show.
